PURPOSE: To produce an Al alloy sheet excellent in formability, at the time of producing an Al alloy sheet in which Mg, Cu and impurities are prescribed by specifying cold rolling, final annealing and cooling. ;CONSTITUTION: An Al alloy constituted of, by weight, 2 to 8% Mg and 0.5% Cu, and the balance Al, and in which, when the Fe equivalent of each element at the time of defining the content (wt.%) of impurities as [Fe], [Mn], [Cr], [Ti] and [Zr] is regulated as Fe:f=[Fe], Mn:fMn=1.1 [Mn], Cr:fCr=1:1 [Cr], Ti:fTi=3 [Ti] and Zr:fZr=3 [Zr], their total is regulated to ≤1.5%, is melted and cast and is subjected to hot rolling. Next, it is subjected to cold rolling at a cold rolling ratio R (%) decided by inequalities I and II, is thereafter held to 450 to 550°C arrival temp. for 0 to 300sec at ≥100°C/min temp. rising rate, is subjected to final annealing and is cooled at ≥100°C/min rate to regulate its grain size into 20 to 80μm.
