PURPOSE: To provide the palladium-cobalt-indium alloy plating bath which does not contain nickel to be the cause for a contact allergy at all and enables white noble metal plating having excellent corrosion resistance. ;CONSTITUTION: The plating bath contg. 10 to 200g/liter carboxylic acid, 1 to 200g/liter sulfuric acid compd. or sulfurous acid compd., 1 to 50g/liter palladium, 1 to 50g/liter cobalt and 0.1 to 30g/liter indium and having pH6 to 11 is prepd. As a result, the color tones from white to pale gray colors are easily adjustable by the metal concn. in the bath and the resulted plating film has the corrosion resistance higher than the corrosion resistance of the palladium-nickel alloy plating. In addition, the stress thereof is low and, therefore, the direct plating treatment on the surfaces of parts, such as titanium materials to be used for spectacle parts, etc., which do not contain nickel, is possible as well.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
