PURPOSE: To provide the multicolor large-sized display device which makes the display colors of the large-sized display device for advertisement, etc., into multiple colors and can display pictures, moving pictures, etc., with good image quality. ;CONSTITUTION: This multicolor large-sized display device is constituted by segmenting a unit area block, arranging color display elements 100 consisting of respectively freely rotatably provided polyhedral color display bodies 103 in the plural segmented blocks and reproducing the colors of the unit area blocks by the plural color display elements 100. As a result, the colors displayed within the unit area blocks are made into multiple colors. Consequently, the image quality is improved. Further, a high-speed operation is made possible and displaying of moving pictures made possible by the miniaturization of the color display elements 100.
