DEVICE AND METHOD FOR COMPUTER PROGRAM LANGUAGE CONVERSION

PURPOSE: To provide a versatile device and method for program language conversion which are applicable to program conversion among many computer program languages. ;CONSTITUTION: When a source language language model sentence, a target language model sentence, and conversion rule for term(variable) parts are inputted on the screen of a conversion rule input means 3, a convesion rule generating means 2 generates a conversion rule according to those inputs and stores it in a conversion rule data base 4. The conversion rule consists of a key for search, a term conversion indication part, and a target language generation program. A conversion rule driving means 9 uses the search key to search the data base 4 and takes a conversion rule needed for the conversion of the source program 80 before conversion out of the data base 4, uses the term conversion indication part to call a term language generation program 7 or a term convesion program, and uses the target language generation program to generate a target program 90 after conversion. None of the conversion rule input means 3, conversion rule generating means 2, and conversion rule driving means 9 depends upon the source language of the language to be converted and the target language.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO
