PURPOSE: To provide the cell abandonment priority order controller for output buffer type ATM exchange which controls the cell abandonment priority order without making different the input order and output order of cells. ;CONSTITUTION: This device is provided with a shared buffer circuit 1 to input/ output cells in the order of arrival regardless of the cell abandonment priority order, buffer circuit 3 exclusive for low priority abandonment cell to abandon the high priority abandonment cells, to input only the low priority abandonment cells in the order of the arrival and to output them to the shared buffer circuit 1, and relay circuit 2 to switch the cell input from the shared buffer circuit 1 to the buffer circuit 3 exclusive for low priority abandonment when the shared buffer 1 exceeds the allowable value and this, the cell abandonment priority order is controlled without making the cell input order and the output order different.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
