PURPOSE: To reduce a charge for fuel for a smelting furnace by a method wherein the smelting furnace is operated by the fuel of dry distillation gas obtained by carbonizing macromolecular waste obtained nearly free of charge. ;CONSTITUTION: Macromolecular waste P, such as waste tires and the like for example, is thrown into a dry distillation furnace 2.
