PURPOSE: To obtain a sterilizing and disinfecting agent capable of preventing nosocomial infection of MRSA, excellent in long acting property of sterilizing and disinfecting action, resistance to sublimation, resistance to metal corrosion and useful for floor wax, etc., by including a specific troponoid metal complex as an active ingredient. ;CONSTITUTION: The objective sterilizing and disinfecting agent contains one or more kinds of troponoid metal complexes of the formula [R¹ is H, lower alkyl, lower alkenyl, carboxyl, carboxyalkyl, hydroxyl, hydroxy or alkyl; R² is H or hydroxyl; M is metal; n is valence of the metal; m is coordination number; n and m are 1-4], e.g. hinokithiol and tropolone as active ingredients.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO
