DEVELOPMENT SYSTEM FOR DIFFERENT DESCRIPTION IN SQUARE FORM OF JAPANESE SYLLABARY

PURPOSE:To eliminate the need to describe fluctuations of all descriptions in a dictionary by deciding a rule for only different descriptions of high generality and depending on descriptions in the dictionary for other different descriptions, and then suppressing the generation of different descriptions of low adequacy. CONSTITUTION:This system consists of an input means 1 which inputs KATAKANA (square form of Japanese syllabary) words as a character string, the different description development rule 3, a morpheme analytic dictionary 2 used to extract a morpheme from the character string inputted from the input means 1 and analyzes the form of the words, and a different description developing means 4 which develops the KATAKA words into a different description by using the different description development rule 3 and morpheme analytic dictionary 2. Then the rule is generated for fluctuations of high generality as to fluctuations of descriptions of KATAKANA words and descriptions as registered words in the dictionary are used for fluctuations of low generality to reduce the number of generated different descriptions. Further, the rule is set in consideration of the character positions and the number of characters to limit words applied with the rule and the generation number of different description can be decreased.
