PURPOSE: To retrieve a candidate text at high speed by deciding whether or not the candidate text that is the result of full text retrieval is fitted in a retrieval request designated by a retrieval word in a text data retriever which retrieves text data by inputting the retrieval word, the candidate text, and the category specification of the candidate text. ;CONSTITUTION: A subject mark expression dictionary 2 which stores subject mark expression, and a text category feature expression dictionary 3 which stores a text category and distinctive expression are provided. When the retrieval word, the candidate text, and the category specification of the candidate text are inputted from an input part 1, it is decided whether or not the retrieval word is fitted in the subject expression by a subject mark expression analysis part 4. Also, it is decided whether or not the retrieval word is fitted in expression marked by text category feature expression by a text category feature expression analysis part 5.
