PURPOSE: To read paper data retrieved from a scientific paper data base while easily collating them by providing a high resolution display and providing a main display area and a sub display area for simultaneously displaying information related to the information displayed in this main display area inside this high resolution display. ;CONSTITUTION: An image processing board and the high resolution display such as a laser beam printer are connected to a scientific paper data base system so as to display/output high-quality images (including characters) to the high resolution display and the laser beam printer at high speed. While displaying data in an index display area 24 of the high resolution display, representative bibliographic information such as the paper title and writer of the thesis is displayed, the index of the selected paper is displayed in a main display area 26, and a retrieval paper list (title list) is displayed a sub display area 28.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
