PURPOSE: To obtain a method for accurately working a cylinder being a vibration part to improve a function of a vibrating speed sensor. ;CONSTITUTION: After primary and second excitation transducers 32, 28, 30, 31 and primary and secondary pick-off transducers 18, 20 are fitted on a vibration portion 34 of a vibrating speed sensor 10, a sine wave signal is input into the primary excitation device, a desired vibration mode is excited by the frequency of signals, a phase of a primary pick-off device is adjusted until it reaches 90° with respect to the primary excitation device, and frequency of the primary vibration mode is measured. A step is repeated with respect to the secondary excitation device, the frequency of the secondary vibration mode is measured, and a difference in frequencies is decreased to be a desired amount or less. Therefore, a small amount of substance is removed from a vibration part 34 near the excitation device or the pick-off device corresponding to the mode having the lowest resonance frequency, whereby the vibration part 34 of the vibrating speed sensor 10 is adjusted.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO
