PURPOSE: To efficiently suppress the power consumption of the television receiver. ;CONSTITUTION: This television receiver is provided with functions for suppressing voltage gain of a video amplifier circuit 18 by operating a power economizing switch 26, and also, lowering a beam current limit value of an automatic contrast limiting circuit 25, and moreover, dropping an anode voltage of a cathode ray tube 20, and also, calculates the power reduced quantity obtained by operating the power economizing switch by a power measuring instrument 13 and displays it on the cathode ray tube 20 or a display device provided separately.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO
