PURPOSE: To improve productivity of sintered ore, increase yield, reduce unit consumption of energy, stabilize quality and improve enviroments by stably sintering at he time of manufacturing the sintered ore by air suction type sintering method. ;CONSTITUTION: At the time of completing the sintering on a pallet, a columnar sample in a part of the sintered material is sampled. Tomographic image of transverse section or longitudinal section of the sampled sintered material is picked up. Areas of pores in the sintered material on the sintering pallet are individually measured from the tomographic image. In an axis of ordinate, accumulated number of the pores from the max. pore area side to number of the pores in each area measured by number of the picture elements is taken, and in an axis of abscissa, area of the pore shown by number of the picture elements is taken, and both logarithm distributions to both axes are displayed. It is discriminate whether the pore structure suitably progressing the sintered condition is formed or not, from distributing pattern.
