PURPOSE:To provide a deodorant derived from sageorusnes (artemisia) by placing the dry leaves of the sagebrushes on a hot plate and subjecting these dry leaves to a far IR roasting treatment and freeze drying the supernatent after extraction with hot water. CONSTITUTION:Sagebrush leaves are air dried in shade and are used in the form of dry leaves. The far IR roasting operation is executed by three systems prior to the extraction of the sagebrushes are placed on a hot plate kept at about 400 deg.C surface temp. and are roasted for 5 minutes under agitation by irradiating the dry leaves with far IR rays (far IR atomic lamp heater, 100V-250W) from 20cm distance. In the system (b), 20g dry leaves of the sagebrushes are placed on the hot plate kept at about 400 deg.C surface temp. and are roasted under agitation. In the system (c), the roasting on the hot plate is not executed. After the dry leaves of the sagebrushes are roasted by dividing the roasting to the three systems, the dry leaves are subjected to the extraction with hot water for one hour at 100 deg.C by using RO water of 21 and thereafter, the water is filtered and the supernatant thereof is obtd. This supernatant is freeze dried and the powdery crude extract having the high deodorization effect is obtd.
