NOVEL MATERIAL CONCRETE MEMBER AND METHOD OF COUPLING NOVEL MATERIAL CONCRETE MEMBER

PURPOSE: To build a shaft for operating a shield machine by inserting a novel material into holes in novel concrete members, and by inserting a wire cable in a second hole so as to pull the cable in order to couple the novel material concrete members. ;CONSTITUTION: A channel 17 is formed in the ground surface by injecting slurry, one end part of a novel material 13 such as carbon fibers, glass fibers and steel fibers is bent so that it may be inserted into the groove 17. Then the novel material 13 is inserted into first holes in novel material concrete members 1-1, 1-2 while a wire cable 12 is inserted into a second hole and is then wound around a roller 19 in order to be turned back. Then, the novel material member 1-2 is moved so as to be joined to the member 1-1. After the repetitions of these steps, a plurality of NOMST precast members 1 are joined, and thereafter, the wire cable 12 is pulled to give prestress thereto. Further, the coupled novel concrete members 1 are pressed by a shield machine, and thereafter, the wire cable 12 is extracted before the excavation by the shield machine is started.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
