PURPOSE: To lower a scattering bait cage to the objective fish swimming layer without losing the scattering bait therein in the course and take out the scattering bait in a sufficient required amount from the scattering bait cage in the object fish swimming layer. ;CONSTITUTION: An opening is provided on the side of a part under a cage 11 having a weight fixed to the bottom and a cylindrical part 12 having an opening 25 on the side and a blade member 14 composed of a funnel-shaped part 13 obliquely opening from the cylindrical part outward are attached to the bottom of the cage so as to cover the lower part of the cage and superpose at least part of both the openings. A regulating ring 15 equipped with an opening 35 at the side is attached to the cylindrical part of the blade member. A numeral 16 is a reflecting plate made by twisting a striplike thin plate and a numeral 19 is an openable and closable meshlike lid. When a scattering bait cage is lowered, the flow 40 of seawater directs outward along the blade member. Thereby, the scattering bait does not discharge even if there is no lid. When the scattering bait cage is lifted, seawater flows into the cage, the water pressure in the cage is raised to push out the scattering bait together with seawater from a discharge port 36.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
