PLUGGING METHOD OF CROWN CAP AND APPARATUS THEREFOR

PURPOSE: To perfectly conduct plugging of a cap by bringing the lower periphery of the cap into contact with the upper periphery of the metal cap of a tin container through the movement of a chuck and thereafter by pressing the cap toward the tin cap while revolving the cap round the center of the tin cap as axis. ;CONSTITUTION: A first step air cylinder 1 is arranged above a mounting table 4. A chuck 3 for holding a cap C by a magnet is provided at the tip of the lower part of the rod 1a of the air cylinder 1. Also, a revolving mechanism 21 for giving axial revolution to a rod la is integrally constituted in the lower part of the air cylinder 1. Then, the revolving mechanism 21 is driven simultaneously with a second step air cylinder 2 so that the chuck 3, i.e., cap C is pressed toward a metal cap M while revolution is given to the cap C. In a cap C-fitting process, thus, a plugging operation can be stabilized and the occurrence of defective plugging can be reduced without any local force acting on the cap C.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
