PURPOSE: To obtain a stabilized surface condition without any spotting, nonuniformity, discoloration, etc., when the surface of an aluminum alloy is deburred. ;CONSTITUTION: 740ml of phosphoric acid, 60ml of nitric acid and 200ml of pure water are mixed to form 1l of bath, and the powder of an aluminum alloy (2024) is added to the bath to prepare a deburring soln. The soln. is controlled to 90-95°C and the dipping time in the soln. to 120-130 sec. An aluminum alloy is deburred in the soln., washed with water, dipped in an aq. soln. of citric acid as a carboxylic acid, immediatedly washed with water and then heat-treated in vacuum.
