METHOD FOR SEPARATING ALKALOID COMPOUND AND UMARIN COMPOUND

PURPOSE: To collect an alkaloid compound such as magnoflorine and a coumarin compound in high concentration by efficiently removing an admixture of substances having various chemical structures, polarities and molecular weights from a lower alcohol extract containing the alkaloid compound and the coumarin compound by a simple method. ;CONSTITUTION: An alcohol extract of a plant containing an alkaloid and a coumarin compound is subjected to membrane separation through a first separation membrane for 10000-500000 fractional molecular weight and water is added to the resultant permeated solution so that the alcohol concentration becomes 25-50vol% and an admixture difficult to dissolve in water is suspended, and then, the suspension is subjected to membrane separation through a second separation membrane for 20000-100000 fractional molecular weight to eliminate the suspended substances and the resultant permeated liquid is subjected to membrane separation through a third separation membrance capable of preventing permeating of either one compound of the alkaloid and coumarin compounds but permeating the other compounds to fractionate the alkaloid compound and the coumarin compound.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
