WET PROCESS TREATMENT OF LEAD ELECTROLYZING ANODE SLIME

PURPOSE:To recover the valuable matter of lead electrolyzing slime with the wet process treatment. CONSTITUTION:(a) The silicofluoric acid component sticking to the lead electrolyzing slime is washed with dilute sulfuric acid or water. (b) The copper in the anode slime is leached by oxidizing the slime with air in a sulfuric acid acidic soln. contg. copper. (c) The copper slime is leached with a caustic soda soln. (d) The desulfurized slime of (c) is made into a silicofluoric acid soln. and Pb, Sb and Bi are eluted and are separated from the leached slime contg. Au and Ag. (e) The Sb ions and Bi ions contained in the siliconfluoric acid eluate of the desulfurized slime of (c) and subjected to a substitution treatment by metal lead. (f) The lead ions contained in the post liquid after the lead substitution treatment of (e) are electrolytically collected an the liquid after the electrolysis is used as a silicofluoric acid soln. for the dissolution of the desulfurized slime of (d) or Pb is recovered by treating the liquid after the lead substitution treatment of (e) with sulfuric acid.
