PURPOSE: To realize tight closure, regardless of a hub element or machining tolerances by disposing an annular seat ring within an air hole of a housing and providing a plug which is adjustably connected to the hub element and a shaft which rotates the hub element in cooperation with the plug. ;CONSTITUTION: A valve body comprises an expanded curving inner air hole 4 and a housing 3, having inlet and outlet flanges 5, 6 connectable to plumbing. At this point, the inlet flange 5 is disposed on the shoulder portion 8 of the housing 3, supporting a seat ring 7 held by a threaded ring 9. Also the housing 3 is provided with a hollow cover expanded portion 10 and a shaft 11, extending through the portion, is supported by a bearing 12 within the housing air hole 4 to seal it with a packing 13. In addition, the shaft 11 is provided with a square section 14 which slides to engage with a hub 15 having a threaded orifice 16, and holds a stud bolt 17 with a ball-like head 18 which supports the plug 19 with a hemispherical front 20 engaging with the seat surface 21 of the seat ring 7.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO
