PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of projection light utilization as to the screen of the rear projection type display device and the visual angle adjusting method for the device. CONSTITUTION:The screen 11 is constituted by sandwiching a light diffusion plate 11a between a Fresnel lens 11b and a lenticular lens 11c. The Fresnel lens 11b is arranged so that its center shifts upward from the center of the screen 11. When delta-2delta-1 where delta-1 is the center deviation of a 1st Fresnel lens 11b and delta-2 is the center deviation of a 2nd Fresnel lens 11b, the visual angle beta-2 in the case of the deviation delta-2 increases in the deviation direction and decreases in the opposite deviation direction as compared with the visual angle beta-1 in the case of the deviation delta-1.
