SUBMARINE CABLE LAYING CONSTRUCTION METHOD AND LAYING WORK SHIP THEREOF

PURPOSE: To easily and quickly start mooring or towing a ship by thrusting an anchor spud into the sea bottom ground with an anchor spud lift mechanism in a mooring spot to perform landing of a cable termination, and laying a submarine cable in a condition of lifting the anchor spud. ;CONSTITUTION: In order to moor a ship body 1 in a cable landing spot region of the sea by an anchor spud lift mechanism 2, a steel-made pillar-shaped anchor spud 11 fitted to a spud recess 13 of the ship body 1 is lowered down almost perpendicularly to the sea bottom by delivering a wire rope 14 by a winch 9. Then a point end of the anchor spud 11 is thrust by only its own weight into the sea bottom ground 20, to fix the ship body 1. In the case of a transfer to towage laying a submarine cable 3, in order to draw out the anchor spud 11, the wire rope 14 is hoisted by the winch 9.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
