PURPOSE: To provide the fused protein useful as a diagnostic medicine for non-A, non-B type hepatitis-infected diseases. ;CONSTITUTION: The fused protein is produced by bonding a hydrophilic region (A) with a hydrophilic region (B), the hydrophilic region (A) containing at least the epitope of the core protein originated from blood transmission type non-A, non-B hepatitis virus, and the hydrophilic region (B) containing at least the epitope of the envelope protein. And Escherichia coli is transformed with a recombined plasmid having a gene produced by connecting a cDNA coding the hydrophilic region (B) containing at least the epitope of the envelope protein to the downstream of a cDNA coding the hydrophilic region (A) at least the epitope of the core protein originated from the blood transmission type non-A, non-B hepatitis virus.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
