LEAKAGE WAVEGUIDE CROSS SLOT ARRAY ANTENNA AND DESIGN METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: To attain high performance for the antenna by setting an offset giving a minimum axis ratio and reflection amount of a radio wave radiating from each cross slot when a single cross slot is formed with respect to each cross slot. ;CONSTITUTION: One cross slot is placed on a waveguide and a length L₂ of other slot #2 and a cross angle ϕ between both the slots are optimized so as to minimize an axis ratio of a radio wave radiating from the one slot #1 whose length is L₁. In this case, even when a minimum length of the slot length L₁ is in a range of 10mm to 11mm, the reflection amount is minimized with an offset (d) of 3.0mm. Furthermore, the cross slot is devised so that the slot lengths L₁, L₂, the cross angle ϕ and the interval of the cross slots increase from the start point of the leakage waveguide toward the end.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
