PURPOSE: To provide the high frequency/low frequency reproducing control method for sound field characteristic control so as to perform optimum high frequency/low frequency control for each sound field control while making the frequency characteristics of high and low frequencies correspondent to sound field modes. ;CONSTITUTION: This method is composed of a sound field reproducing mode detection step 1 to detect a sound field reproducing mode, first high frequency/ low frequency characteristic control judging step 2 to judge the control states of high frequency/low frequency characteristics and to obtain the judged result when the sound field reproducing mode is detected in the detection step 1, coefficient data selection step 3 to select coefficient data for deciding the control of the high frequency/low frequency characteristics corresponding to the sound field reproducing mode when the judged result shows a first state, first coefficient data setting step 4 to set the selected coefficient, and high frequency/low frequency characteristic control step 8 to control the high frequency/low frequency characteristics automatically corresponding to the sound field reproducing mode based on the coefficient data.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
