PURPOSE: To obtain a primer for coating the dentin surface capable of providing high adhesive strength without carrying out acid treatment of the substantia eburnea. ;CONSTITUTION: The objective primer for coating the dentin surface is characterized by a solution composed of at least one metallic compound selected from the group consisting of iron compounds, copper compounds and cobalt compounds and a solvent. The objective method for forming an adhesive layer for a dentin restoring material on the dentin surface is characterized by applying this primer onto the dentin surface, then applying a curable composition containing a trialkylboron or its partial oxidation product onto the primer coating layer and forming the adhesive layer.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
