PRODUCTION OF CATIONIC-DYEABLE POLYESTER FALSE TWIST TEXTURED YARN

PURPOSE: To obtain a textured yarn excellent in mechanical characteristics, yarn manufacturing properties, brightness, etc., by spinning an aromatic polyester, containing a glass transition point lowering agent and solid fine particles and having sulfonate groups under specific condition and then subjecting the resultant yarn to false twist texturing. ;CONSTITUTION: An aromatic polyester having the content [(A)wt.%] of a glass transition point lowering agent regulated to 1-5 and the content (wt.%) of solid fine particles regulated to 0.1-1.0 and further sulfonate groups is spun at a high speed under conditions in which the intrinsic viscosity [η] of the aromatic polyester satisfies formula I. The resultant undrawn yarn is then subjected to draw false twist texturing at a number of false twist of formula II [T is the number of false twisting (turns/m); D is the size (denier) of the undrawn yarn] and 180-210°C temperature.
