PURPOSE: To obtain a method for efficiently separating pentafluorochloroethane from a mixture containing pentafluoroethane and the pentafluorochloroethane. ;CONSTITUTION: The distillation of a mixture containing pentafluoroethane and pentafluorochloroethane is carried out to distill off an azeotropic mixture of the pentafluoroethane with the pentafluorochloroethane.
