PURPOSE: To provide a vacuum casting method with a mold having a reaction chamber inserting additive on the way of a runner for suitably executing melting chemical reaction with molten metal. ;CONSTITUTION: Vacuum evacuation is applied in the mold having a first sprue 12 reaching the molten metal in a molten metal vessel disposed at the lower part, a reaction chamber 14 succeeding to the first sprue and vertically stood and a second sprue 15 connected with a mold cavity from the lower part of the reaction chamber to suck up the molten metal into the reaction chamber and pour a part of the molten metal into the cavity 16 through the second sprue. In this stage, the molten metal of sufficient quantity to fill the cavity, is stored in the reaction chamber. The operation is made to the first stage, and in this stage, the molten metal vessel and the mold are separated and further, the sufficient vacuum evacuation to fill the molten metal into the mold is applied to fill up the molten metal into the mold cavity.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO
