AUTOMATIC LITERATURE-INDEX PREPARING METHOD IN MULTIMEDIA ENVIRONMENT AND COMPUTER SYSTEM THEREFOR

PURPOSE: To automatically generate a list of documents on a computer system. CONSTITUTION: At the time of input to a document list file on the computer system, a reference item displayed on the system is selected (64 and 66) and is automatically formatted into a document list item, and this item is automatically transferred to the document list file (74, 80, and 94). An author can select bibliographies to be used in the document list while reading through bibliographies. Since required data of titles, paragraphs, pages, etc., is automatically acquired and correctly formatted data is stored in the document list file, the complete document list is obtained which is correctly formatted so as to be directly used in a writing document immediately after the end of examination or as research records.
