TREATMENT OF USED RUBBER TIRE REFUSE BY DESTRUCTION AND APPARATUS THEREFOR

PURPOSE: To crush used rubber tires without prior removal of metallic parts and without the wear of tools by extremely simple means. ;CONSTITUTION: This used rubber tire 12 to be crushed is held between two rollers 4 and 16. The one roller 4 is set adjacent with a bead part mounted with the rim of the used rubber tire 12 and the other roller 16 is set adjacent with the tread surface of the used rubber tire 12, respectively. The rollers 4 and 16 are pressed to each other to compress the tire 12 in the roll gap and to crush the intrinsic shape so as to reduce the thickness of the tread surface and on the other hand, the rollers 4 and 16 are rotated.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO
