PURPOSE: To prevent dirt from being generated at the time of mounting and demounting a color screening mechanism such as an aperture grille(AG) for the glass panel or the like of a cathode-ray tube, and enable the mechanism to be reliably positioned. ;CONSTITUTION: This mechanism is used to position and fix a color screening mechanism 1 comprising a metal mask 4 extended in a frame 2, onto a cathode- ray tube panel 28. A projection 21 is provided on the frame 2 and a recess section is provided on the inner side of the panel 28 at a position corresponding to the projection 21.
