METHOD FOR MAKING LOOP SENTENCE IN SOURCE PROGRAM PARALLEL

PURPOSE: To make the parallel conversion operation of a loop sentence efficient by converting a subscript in the loop sentence by describing a descriptor to the loop sentence. ;CONSTITUTION: It is decided whether data operated by the loop sentence (FOR sentence) is distributed previously all together or finely-separately to each cell of a parallel computer as a data distribution type 1. Besides, the subscripts 3a to 3d indicating loop operation alloted to the each cell are generated in accordance with the separation type of the loop sentence and the separation type 1 of data. The loop sentence to be parallel-processed is selected from a source program and the descriptors 2a to 2d indicating the separation type are added before the loop sentence in accordance with the distribution type of data. At the time of converting the source program including the loop sentence added with the descriptors 2a to 2d into an intermediate program, the prepared subscripts 3a to 3d are selected in accordance with the descriptors 2a to 2d to convert the loop sentence into that having subscripts (p, q) corresponding to parallel processing.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
