PURPOSE: To provide a double-side four-color printing web offset printing press imparting printed matter having sharp quality and excellent color registering properties, reducing the contamination of the surface of paper with ink because no guide roller is used and easy in maintenance. ;CONSTITUTION: Two pairs of laterally arranged plate cylinders 3 and blanket cylinders 4 having the same diameter are arrenged over two upper and lower stages so as to leave an interval and impression cylinders 7 having a diameter three or four times that of those cylinders are brought into contact with both upper and lower blanket cylinders 4 as the common impresion cylinders 7 to constitute five-cylinder rotary type two-color printing units C, D, E, F. These printing units are arranged so that the positional relation of the plate cylinders 3 and the blanket cylinders 4 to the impression cylinders 7 is becomes different left and right to provide two sets of the printing units and the printing units different in positional relation are alternately arranged in an up-and-down direction to provide a cylinder arrangement structure wherein the impression cylinders 7 are continued each other so that the straight line connecting the axes of the impression cylinders 7 shows a zigzag pattern and the lowermost fourth stage printing unit F is continued to a paper feeder B for feeding a web and the uppermost first stage printing unit C is continued to a drying apparatus G.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
