摘要

The strains of E. coli selected from various known strains having the ability to express a certain type of colonization factor antigens are cultured in a liquid culture medium. Formalin-killed microorganisms of a particular strain of E. coli having the antigenic and haemagglutination capabilities of the given type of colonization factor antigens are mixed with suitable excipients or diluents. By the method, a vaccine comprising inactivated E. coli strains is administered to humans to prevent enteritic infections.
