The invention relates to novel substituted triazolinones of the general formula (I) IMAGE in which R1 is haloalkyl, R2 is hydrogen, amino, cyano, alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, haloalkyl, haloalkenyl, haloalkynyl, alkoxyalkyl or alkylideneimino or is cycloalkyl or cycloalkylalkyl, each of the latter being optionally substituted, R3 is hydrogen or halogen, R4 is cyano or nitro, R5 is nitro, cyano, halogen, heterocyclylalkoxy, a radical of the formula R6, -O-R6, -S-R6, -S-(O)-R6, -SO2-R6, -SO2-O-R 6 , -O-SO2-R6, -C(O)-O-R6, -NR6R7, -SO2-NR6R7, -C(O)-NR6R7, -NH- P(O)(OR6)(R7) or -NH-P(O)(OR6)(OR7), or is a radical of the formula IMAGE and X is oxygen or sulphur, R6 and R7 independently of one another being in each case hydrogen or in each case straight-chain or branched and optionally substituted alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, cycloalkyl or aryl, to a plurality of processes for their preparation and to their use as herbicides, insecticides and acaricides.
