摘要
The invented separation process of ethyl benzene and styrene employs vapor compression. Waste vapors of low-boiling components are partially compresses and generated heat is employed for heating a distillation mixture in a distillation column (1) reboiler (4). A portion of condensed liquid of the low-boiling components leaving a superheater (2) is separated into two partial flows. The first partial flow is conducted via a reboiler (5) into a distillation column (6) with a cylinder charge that operates under reduced pressure and is filled with a liquid of high-boiling components from the column (1) bottom section back to the column (1) upper section. So the first partial flow serves as a heat source for the distillation column (6) with pure styrene. Styrene contained in the column (6) is separated by distillation from components exhibiting higher boiling point. The first partial flow can be alternatively conducted even via another handy receiver of suitable temperature and then supplied back into the column (1) upper section. The second partial flow is conducted back to the column (1) upper section.
