The method for end-to-end joining of the edges of a rubberised fabric formed from reinforcing elements which are parallel to each other and separated by a distance p, consists in injecting, under pressure and hot, between the reinforcing elements of the edges separated by a distance having a value d greater than 1.5 p, a rubber mix having cohesion and green strength properties superior to the same properties of the mix embedding the reinforcing elements.
