NITROGEN-FREE COMPONENT OF ACTIVE SUBSTANCE USED IN LAUNDRY SOFTENING RINSIE AGENTS AND LAUNDRY SOFTENING RINSE AGENTS AS SUCH

The nitrogen-containing cationic fabric softener components used to date often have an unfavourable aquatoxic behaviour and are undesirable because of the possibility of nitrosamine formation. A nitrogen-free fabric softener component is therefore proposed. It consists of alkoxylated natural fats or oils and can be employed alone or in combination with customary cationic nitrogen-containing components with and without the addition of dispersants, emulsifiers and/or solubilisers. Moreover, a synergistic enhancement of the effect is achieved in some cases. It is possible in this way to produce a nitrogen-free or low-nitrogen fabric softener formulation with high softening potential, i.e. good antistatic and rewetting properties.
