Timber or plastics decorative sections (B) are connected to aluminium or UPVC extrusions (C) forming windows, doors, or screens, by means of a number of couplers (A). The couplers, which are spaced along the profile, are engaged in the slot by the disc shaped flange (4) which has projecting protrusions (42) forming a lock. On the opposite side of the coupler a key-shaped flange (1) with tapered ends (111) fits into the dovetailed groove in the back of the timber strip. The intermediate neck (3) has a key section (2) for turning and locking the coupler to extrusion and timber.
