The apparatus is used for viewing transparent photographs movable in the form of a continuous strip for advertising and demonstration purposes; the transparent photographs to be viewed have the same dimensions as their image to be projected; the casing 1 comprises a glass pane 3 for viewing a photograph which is displayed directly behind the glass pane; the casing contains means 9 for uniform transparent lighting of the photograph, on the opposite side to the glass pane with respect to the photograph, and rollers 5, 7 for unwinding and winding-up the strip N of photographs, actuated with an intermittent movement so as to stop the individual photographs temporarily and in succession; automatic means cause the intermittent feeding movement and temporary stoppage of the successive photographs of the strip and reverse movement.
