The international market offers a few automatic analysers for measuring the total acidity of liquid samples. Each analysis, however, takes a few minutes and requires the exact measurement of the volume of the sample to be analysed. The present invention provides an automatic analyser which is very fast and does not require the volumetric measurement of the sample, as a result of the combination of the following elements: - four high-precision volumetric micropumps such as, for example, Hamilton syringes; - two pH sensors; - two colour sensors; - one micromixer; - a microprocessor computer with 1/0 and A/D inputs and identical outputs for acquiring, processing and outputting signals for the various sensors and motors; - a printer and a video terminal for the results; - a belt-type sorting system for the samples.
