The system according to the invention for digital filtering by the implementation of digital wave filters with a pseudo-symmetrical bilateral structure performs the function of filtering a digital signal in such a way as to minimize the effects due to arithmetic with finite precision caused by the limited length of the registers for data storage and processing. The particular structure, of the pseudo-symmetrical bilateral type, which is formed is essentially characterized in that it enables the critical path of the filter to be minimized and permits parallel processing of the two blocks of which it consists; thus, by using asynchronous data control, a highly efficient processing structure is obtained, which has a low processing time and is suitable for the multiplexing of the storage and multiplication operations. A circuit for the embodiment of the invention in the simplest and most general form consists of a suitable connection of adders, multipliers and delay elements. IMAGE
