Circuit arrangement for the transfer (transmission) of signals with transformer coupling and dynamically generated output impedance. In order to achieve high return loss when a small transformer is used, a controllable voltage source G is connected to the secondary winding W2 of the transformer UE1, the control of which voltage source is effected by an amplifier V1 whose gain factor (z) corresponds to the desired output impedance (Zin) multiplied by a constant factor and whose input signal is derived from the signal current Io on the primary side W1 of the transformer UE1 by means of a current converter (current transformer) S.
