The head comprises applicator of rocking lever type, oblique to surface to which the band is applied, remaining under constant pressure from press button. The applicator can tilt laterally by operating actuator commanded by suitable sensors, which allows uniform pressure to be exerted on the surface in transverse direction. Rotary dies are provided in the course of the band through the mechanism for automatically cutting the layer applied.
