Abstract of the DisclosureA firefighter's boot of this invention is ofa configuration and has dimensions which provide a bootwhich is significantly lighter in weight than a conven-tional boot of a firefighter which is constructed ofthe same material. Thus, stress upon a firefighter issignificantly less than when a conventional boot is wornby the firefighter. A firefighter's boot of this inventionis adapted to be worn in conjunction with firefighter'strousers which cover the legs of the firefighter. Afirefighter's boot of this invention is relatively shortin height and has a dimension to provide protection which,under certain conditions, may not be provided by thetrousers. The firefighters boots and trousers are adaptedto be stored as a unit. The firefighter's boot of thisinvention is of sufficient height to extend above fire-fighter's trousers which are compressed around the bootsfor storing the boots and trousers as a unit. The boothas a hand-grasp element which may be grasped by a fire-fighter for donning the boot and for support of the boot.
