ABSTRACTA real-time rejection circuit for passing low leveldesired signals in the presence of one or more strong interferingsignals. A chirp-Z transform system separates the variousfrequency components of a received signal into frequencysegregated time domain signals. A power splitter separates thetime domain signal into two paths. One path includes a modulatoror switch that is normally biased "ON" for passing the time domainsignal. The second path includes a diode detector that producespulses of sufficient strength when a strong interfering componentis present to override the bias and turn the modulator "OFF" for asufficient period of time to attenuate the unwanted frequencycomponents in the other path. The modulator output will primarilycontain the low level desired frequency components that are passedthrough an inverse transform device for producing a frequencydomain signal of the desired signal uncorrupted by unwantedsignals.
