STRUCTURAL SYSTEM FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THREE-DIMENSIONAL STRUCTURES

A construction system for the fabrication of threedimensional structures, having a spherical node provided with four orthogonal slots that are perpendicular to another slot that surrounds (circumvallate) the spherical node along its diameter and which intersects the orthogonal slots. At the intersections of each one of the orthogonal slots with the circumvallate slot, the node has two pairs of cavities for mounting and securing with a pair of protruding pins or rods located on the ends of spars. The protruding pins or rods are inserted in the corresponding cavities, thus creating a reliable connection between the node and the spars. Joined in this manner, a desired three-dimensional structure can quickly and easily assembled and dissembled.
