A recycle apparatus for filter housings containing a liquid and having a compactor frame, having upper and lower frame portions, and a junction frame portion extending therebetween, a platen on the lower frame portion, facing upwardly, to support a filter housing, a compactor piston assembly supported by upper frame portion, and operable by hydraulic fluid to move downwardly towards the platen and being moveable upwardly, intensifier cylinder connected to the compactor piston assembly, and operable to cause flow of hydraulic fluid to force said compactor piston assembly on its downstroke, and, an air cylinder connected to the intensifier cylinder, and operable at a first pressure to produce an intensification of the first pressure, so as to generate an intensified pressure in the hydraulic fluid.
